Bob Bettinardi is the grandfather of CNC Milled putters. It was he who started a journey in 1991, introducing to the world that one-piece precision CNC milled flat rods are more beautiful, more precise and more consistent than similar products cast, forged or welded. Bettinardi knows CNC Milling very well. Scotty Cameron, Mizuno and Ben Hogan all recognized his talents and hired him to make putters. After that, he founded his own advanced putting company in 1998.

Thirty years later, Bettinardi is a big man in the field of CNC putting. The flat bar with the Bettinardi name has won more than 85 tournament victories around the world. Jim Furyk and Francesco Molinari have used Bettinardi putters to win majors (US Open and British Open titles), and players like Matt Fitzpatrick, Matt Kuchar and Freddy Couples are willing to serve as staff ambassadors today.

In 2022, Bettinardi re-invented the BB series and the Inovai series. Bob himself believes that whether you are a fan of blades, mallets or MOI putters, the new models will help you push more putters and shine more on your face. The big smile is doing.

The BB series has been part of Bettinardi from the beginning. BB was launched in 1999, when Bettinardi expanded on his own and participated in the tour to gain recognition as the world's best player. His first stop was the Greater Greensboro Open, where Jesper Parnevik immediately picked up the BB-10, and then set a record of 99 putts during his victory (still valid today).

The 2022 Bettinardi BB series consists of four models, each of which is inspired by feedback from the Bettinardi staff on the tour. The series includes three toe and heel weighted blades (with plumber and flowing neck) and a BB-46 center mallet (with single curved socket/shaft setting).

All four models have different degrees of toe hanging to accommodate different stroke shapes. The previous BB series push rod is made of carbon steel, while the 2022 model is a single piece of 303 SS. Bettinardi says that their travel staff prefer this material. The beautiful new graphite gray PVD surface eliminates rust, and the more aggressive FlyMill surface gives a softer feel.

The super traditional toe and heel weighted BB-1 is a classic style that has been around for decades. Bettinardi said that the new thinner backline and softer and smoother rear bumper make the address look great. The mid-toe overhang means that the BB-1 is very suitable for golfers with a slight arc to hit the ball and those who like to release their putters through the feel of the ball.

F stands for Flow Neck, which means that the shaft gracefully disappears into the putter head, and there is no 90° hard angle between it and the head. Flow Neck offers less offset (3/4 the shaft of the BB-1 with a full shaft) and powerful toe suspension, which means that the BB-1F is more suitable for stronger arc shots.

W stands for Wide, which means that the BB-8 blade is wider and more stable than the traditional narrow blade. Compared with BB-1 and BB-1F, BB-8W has a sharper, straighter line and a flatter bumper design with a lower degree of curvature. Compared with the previous model, the head from toe to heel is slightly shorter and has a thinner tour-inspired backline. The plumber's neck provides a moderate amount of toe drape, so this model is very suitable for slight arc strokes.

BB-46 is close to facial balance, which means it is a good choice for direct hits. Bettinardi said that the "Spud" neck means that the shaft looks like it flows directly into the head seamlessly. This is the perfect choice if your eyes are easily attracted by the details of the connection. The tight shoulder radius on the rear flange gives a super clean appearance. Like all BB series models, a white alignment line a (not encroaching on the top line) helps to always aim at your target line.

Bob Bettinardi – CEO and founder of Bettinardi Golf BB series putters

Bettinardi is proud to continue the tradition of American-made craftsmanship and originality, creating our most timeless and advanced BB series to date. The new BB series putter is milled from a solid block of 303 stainless steel, and has a new radical FlyMill face milling, and uses a gorgeous graphite gray PVD surface treatment, giving the series putters a tour-style look, feel and performance.

Over the years, Bettinardi has worked with some of the best players to understand how many different face milling modes change the sound and feel of putting. Today, Bettinardi uses three different facial patterns to show the feeling, sound and responsiveness that every family wants. Here is how to choose the method that suits you best.

Bettinardi's very aggressive FlyMill mode is produced by the horizontal movement of the milling cutter on the face of the shaft, in roughly the same way as most traditional milling push rods. Bettinardi said that the FlyMill mode provides a soft but responsive impact, which is particularly suitable for players to maximize speed and feel consistency.

In terms of feel, FlyMill is in the middle, between Roll Control (softest) and Micro Honeycomb (hardest). It is the standard configuration of the 2022 BB series.

The roll control is Bettinardi's latest grinding pattern. By removing face material and creating a grooved face design, golfers can get a softer putting feel. Bettinardi said that compared to traditional non-groove putter faces, asymmetric grooves promote more topspin and make the putter roll faster.

Generally, Roll Control is effective for players with more aggressive putting actions. You can find this technology in the Inovai 6.0/8.0 and 2021 Studio Stock series.

As early as 1998, Bettinardi discovered the benefits of vertical milling of the putter face from above. Bettinardi estimates that because the milled putter falls vertically on the face (Bettinardi's patented process) instead of sliding horizontally, the face of the putter is 200% flatter than the traditional milled face.

Today, the micro honeycomb pattern is used in Bettinardi's Queen Bee series. This is a good choice for golfers who like a stable shot and players who pay special attention to speed control on the green.

Inovai is the Bettinardi family dedicated to innovation. Brand BB series, Studio Stock and Queen B models are aimed at traditional putter enthusiasts, while Inovai is suitable for golfers who want to break the limit in MOI and fault tolerance.

Fans of Bettinardi will recognize Fang 6.0, which is the head shape the company has used before, but this new model is 5% smaller from toe to heel. The cobalt blue of the previous model is gone, replaced by a hidden black anodized finish.

Each of the three new heads comes with Bettinardi's Roll Control face milling mode, which has asymmetric grooves to promote more topspin and shorten the distance of the putter before it enters the real roll.

All three Inovai 6.0 models are very suitable for canine putter enthusiasts. Choose the right socket/neck and toe suspension to suit your shot. The canine design is stable, tolerant and very suitable for the fixed ball position and the entire shot. Construct the ball in the process. This is a good choice for people who like the comfort of a golf ball width alignment aid to help focus on where the putter should affect the clubface.

Sam Bettinardi – Vice President of Putting, Bettinardi Golf Inovai 6.0

Inovai 6.0 is one of the most successful head shapes we have created. Now, based on two years of tour feedback, we have improved the new 6.0, the head from heel to toe has been reduced by 5%, providing a more stylish and compact design than its predecessor. We are proud to bring this tour-proven model to golfers all over the world.

It’s no secret that tour players are really turning to higher MOI mallet putters. Bettinardi’s new Inovai 8.0 is a successful model for TaylorMade’s Spider, Odyssey's 10 and Scotty Cameron Phantom X.

Like Inovai 6.0, each 8.0 has a 303 stainless steel face and military grade 6061 aluminum back, so extra mass can be placed behind the putter to create a stable and tolerant design. Compared with the previous curved Inovai 7.0 model, the angled back is great for highlighting alignment accuracy.

Each of the three new heads comes with Bettinardi's Roll Control face milling mode, which has asymmetric grooves to promote more topspin and shorten the distance of the putter before it enters the real roll.

All three Inovai 8.0 models are perfect for golfers looking for maximum MOI and fault tolerance when putting. Just choose the right hosel/neck and toe suspension to suit your shot, and the clear wing design is stable and forgiving enough to improve the consistency of distance control between hits and hits. For those modern mallet enthusiasts who value the precision of CNC milling composite materials, this is a good choice.
